﻿{"id":115173,"date":"2014-11-23T13:03:26","date_gmt":"2014-11-23T20:03:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=115173"},"modified":"2014-11-23T13:03:26","modified_gmt":"2014-11-23T20:03:26","slug":"femke-heemskerk-torches-danish-short-course-championship-four-wins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/femke-heemskerk-torches-danish-short-course-championship-four-wins\/","title":{"rendered":"Femke Heemskerk Torches Danish Short Course Championship With Four Wins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BELLAHOJ &#8211; The Dutch trio\u00a0of Femke Heemskerk, Ranomi Kromowidjojo and Moniek Nijhuis put on a show at the Danish Short Course Championships in Bellahoj.<\/p>\n<p>Femke Heemskerk jumped to third in the world rankings with a 23.79 in the women&#8217;s 50-meter free, while Ranomi Kromowidjojo placed second in 23.88. \u00a0Kromowidjojo already stood second in the world with a 23.64 from the International Swim Festival in Aachen. \u00a0Jeanette Ottesen took third in 23.89 to move to sixth in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Heemskerk vaulted to third in the world in the women&#8217;s 200-meter IM with a 2:06.69. \u00a0Only Katinka Hosszu (2:02.13) and Caitlin Leverenz (2:06.15) have been faster this year. \u00a0Mie Nielsen took second in 2:15.13 with Hannah Nissen placing third in 2:15.54.<\/p>\n<p>Heemskerk had another sizzling time in the women&#8217;s 100-meter free with a 51.62, the second best in the world behind Sarah Sjostrom. Kromowidjojo took second in 51.95, off her fourth-ranked season best of 51.84 from Aachen as well. \u00a0Mie Nielsen earned third in 52.93.<\/p>\n<p>Heemskerk&#8217;s fourth win of the meet came by way of the women&#8217;s 200-meter free with a 1:51.96. She&#8217;s been a bit faster this year with a third-ranked 1:51.72 from Aachen. \u00a0Kromowidjojo took second in 1:56.18 with Josephine Holm earning third in 1:59.30.<\/p>\n<p>Ottesen grabbed second in the world in the women&#8217;s 50-meter fly with a swift time of 24.88. \u00a0Only Inge Dekker has been faster this year. \u00a0Kromowidjojo took second in 25.47 for fifth in the world, while Emilie Beckmann finished third in 27.02.<\/p>\n<p>Ottesen doubled with a 56.34 in the women&#8217;s 100-meter fly, moving her up to fifth in the world rankings. \u00a0Emilie Beckmann (58.56) and Amalie Mikkelsen (59.67) also broke 1:00 to make the top three.<\/p>\n<p>Rikke Moeller Pedersen won the women&#8217;s 200-meter breast in 2:19.58. \u00a0That&#8217;s off her third-ranked time of 2:18.76 from the North Sea Meet. \u00a0Moniek Nijhuis finished second in 2:25.42, while Louise Dalgaard took third in 2:29.37.<\/p>\n<p>Nijhuis responded in the women&#8217;s 100-meter breast with a 1:04.97 for the win. \u00a0That&#8217;s just off her third-ranked season best of 1:04.66 from the Dutch Championships. \u00a0Pedersen placed second in 1:05.76, while Matilde Schroder wound up third in 1:09.22.<\/p>\n<p>Nijhuis won the women&#8217;s 50-meter breast in 29.92, just off her fourth-ranked 29.90 from Aachen. \u00a0Pedersen took second in 30.80, while Louise Dalgaard took third in 30.81.<\/p>\n<p>Frederik Siem Pedersen touched in 22.17 to win the men&#8217;s 50-meter free. \u00a0Magnus Westermann placed second in 22.30 with Magnus Jakupsson finishing third in 22.43.<\/p>\n<p>Pedersen snagged a second win with a 1:46.09 in the men&#8217;s 200-meter free. \u00a0Sebastian Ovesen (1:47.43) and Daniel Skaaning (1:48.07) finished second and third.<\/p>\n<p>Pedersen tripled his winnings with a 48.48 in the men&#8217;s 100-meter free, while Magnus Westermann finished second in 49.18. \u00a0Magnus Jakupsson took third in 49.66.<\/p>\n<p>Magnus Jakupsson won the men&#8217;s 100-meter back in 53.82 with Gustav Friberg (54.69) and Kevin Witt Christensen (55.08) taking second and third.<\/p>\n<p>Jakupsson doubled up with a 24.08 in the men&#8217;s 50-meter fly. \u00a0Anton Bromer (24.40) and Marcus Olesen (24.63) finished second and third.<\/p>\n<p>Jakupsson&#8217;s third victory came by way of a 53.34 in the men&#8217;s 100-meter fly. \u00a0Anton Bromer (53.59) and Magnus Poulsen (54.03) rounded out the podium.<\/p>\n<p>Viktor Bromer claimed the men&#8217;s 200-meter IM title in 1:57.09 with Daniel Skaaning finishing second in 1:57.52. Nicolas Blanch placed third in 2:01.48.<\/p>\n<p>Bromer doubled up with a swift 1:52.43 in the men&#8217;s 200-meter fly. \u00a0That&#8217;s just off his seventh-ranked season best of 1:52.19 from the Moscow stop of the FINA World Cup. Rasmus Harstedt took second in 1:59.36 with Magnus Poulsen earning third in 2:00.94.<\/p>\n<p>Niklas Hedegaard clinched the men&#8217;s 200-meter breast title in 2:10.61 with Chris Christensen finishing second in 2:10.96. \u00a0Kristoffer Moos wound up third in 2:12.67.<\/p>\n<p>Hedegaard also snared the men&#8217;s 100-meter breast in 1:00.55 with Christian Rasmussen finishing second in 1:00.68. \u00a0Kristoffer Moos earned third in 1:00.80.<\/p>\n<p>Nicolas Blanch won the men&#8217;s 400-meter IM in 4:20.04 with Jonathan Muller taking second in 4:24.73. \u00a0Mikkel Austmann placed third in 4:26.68.<\/p>\n<p>Blanch doubled with a 15:22.22 in the men&#8217;s 1500-meter free. \u00a0Viktor Holm (15:28.56) and Frederik Jessen (15:38.49) took second and third.<\/p>\n<p>Julie Aglund Lauridsen snared the women&#8217;s 800-meter free title in 8:26.96, while Maj Howardsen placed second in 8:39.17. Signe Bro finished third in 8:45.05.<\/p>\n<p>Lauridsen earned her second title of the meet with a 4:38.35 in the women&#8217;s 400-meter IM. \u00a0Hannah Nissen (4:45.42) and Ida Schutt (4:45.51) battled for second and third.<\/p>\n<p>Amalie Mikkelsen won the women&#8217;s 100-meter IM in 1:01.90 with Ida Shutt taking second in 1:02.83. \u00a0Christina Kaas Elmgreen finished third in 1:02.94.<\/p>\n<p>Magnus Jakupsson claimed the men&#8217;s 100-meter IM in 54.57 with Daniel Skaaning earning second in 54.78. \u00a0Christian Rasmussen placed third in 56.17.<\/p>\n<p>Emilie Beckmann topped the women&#8217;s 100-meter back in 59.94 with Isabella Sorensen finishing second in 1:00.03. \u00a0Sarah Bro placed third in 1:00.45.<\/p>\n<p>Pal Joensen claimed the men&#8217;s 400-meter free in 3:45.41 with Nicolas Blanch finishing second in 3:48.64. \u00a0Frans Johannessen took third in 3:52.18.<\/p>\n<p>Mads Glaesner secured the men&#8217;s 800-meter free crown in 7:48.59 with Mads Holm placing second in 8:07.41.
