CARLISLE – The Bloomsburg University swim teams swept Dickinson College on Saturday afternoon, with the men posting a 141-97 win and the women taking home a 139-109 victory.<\/p>\n

Bloomsburg continued its strong early season showings by posting seven times that cracked the top 10 of the PSAC so far this season.<\/p>\n
Jake Harner (Philadelphia\/Father Judge) posted the third fastest time in the PSAC this season in the 100-free with a time of 47.78 seconds leading off the 400-free relay. Also, Frank Dello Buono (West Chester\/West Chester Rustin) posted the fourth best time in the 200-fly with a time of 1:58.79, while Alex McCullough (Pottstown\/OJ Roberts) had the seventh fastest time in the 500-free in 4:51.02.<\/p>\n
In the 200-breast Alex Otero (Allentown\/Parkland) posted the seventh best time this season with a mark of 2:21.73, while Pat Stasio (Horsham\/Hatboro Horsham) is now eighth in the 100-free after swimming 48.51 on Saturday. In the 100-fly Eric Usbeck (Lake Ariel\/Wallenpaupack Area) is ninth in 53.73, while Josh Grzech (Mountain Top\/Crestwood) is 10th in the 200-free in 1:47.60.<\/p>\n
Overall the Huskies have posted 73 PSAC Championship qualifying times this season.<\/p>\n
Bloomsburg is back in the water on Saturday, Nov. 22 hosting Clarion at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

The Huskies had a big day in the water with 10 times good enough to be ranked in the top 10 of the PSAC this season. The highlight of the day was Megan Gallagher posting the fastest time in the PSAC this season in the 50-free with a mark of 24.47 seconds. She also posted the third-best time in the PSAC this season in the 100-free when she led off the 400-free relay in 53.88.<\/p>\n
Sarah Ritter (Hampstead, MD\/Carroll, MD) posted the third best time in the PSAC this year in the 100-breast with a mark of 1:07.81, while her 200-IM time of 2:15.94 was 10th best. Also, Nicole Young (Trooper\/Methacton) moved into the top five in the PSAC in the 200-breast with a time of 2:28.06, while Caroline Hodgin is fifth in the 200-fly in 2:14.69 and seventh in the 100-free in 54.38.<\/p>\n
Sophomore Brooke Gilson (Whitehall\/Whitehall) swam the eighth-best time in the 500-free with a mark of 5:21.09, while Karly Hursey (Hampstead, MD\/Carroll, MD) posted the seventh best time in the PSAC in the 1000-free in 10:58.22. Finally Rachel Brooker (Stevens\/Cocalico ) broke into the PSAC top 10 in the 100-back with a time of 1:02.52.<\/p>\n
Overall the Huskies have posted 48 PSAC Championship qualifying times this season.<\/p>\n

The Dickinson women’s swim team turned in some strong performances against a tough, Division II opponent, falling to visiting Bloomsburg University, 139-109 on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Senior Caroline Brennan (Madison, N.J.\/Madison) showed well in the distance events, winning the 500 freestyle and finishing third in the 1000, while first-year Brenna Nimkoff (Weston, Conn.\/Weston) touched the wall second in both events.<\/p>\n
Sophomore Tanita Leary (Larchmont, N.Y.\/Mamaroneck) won the 100 butterfly and led-off the winning 400 free relay. She added a second place finish with the 200 medley relay and placed fourth in the 200 freestyle.<\/p>\n
First-year Callie Miles (Hartford, Conn.\/Kingswood Oxford) joined the Devils’ top free relay and placed second with the medley relay. She added a pair of bronze medals in the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle events.<\/p>\n
First-year Elizabeth Smith (Sparta, N.J.\/Sparta) won the 200 individual medley and swam to second in the 200 backstroke. Sophomore Jacqulyn Teller (Woodbury, N.Y.\/Syosset) was just behind Smith in the IM. She placed second with the medley relay and in the 200 breaststroke, and finished third in the 100 breaststroke.<\/p>\n
Sophomore Emily Houser (Fort Washington, Pa.\/Upper Dublin) anchored the medley and free relay events, and placed third in the 200 backstroke. She also touched the wall fourth in the 50 freestyle.<\/p>\n
The Red Devils slip to 5-2 overall. They are home again next weekend, hosting the Dickinson Invitational.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils had some strong individual performances on the day. First-year Mitchell Reynolds (Frederick, Md.\/Frederick) swam well in the distance events, placing second in the both the 1000 and 500 yard freestyle events.<\/p>\n
Sophomore Alex Bennett (Baltimore, Md.\/Loyola Blakefield) won the 500 free, adding a second place finish in the 200 freestyle and claimed bronze as the anchor of the medley relay.<\/p>\n
Senior Cameron Phillips (Woburn, Mass.\/Phillips Academy Andover) earned wins with the 400 free relay and in the 100 butterfly. He added third place showings in the 200 butterfly and the 200 medley relay.<\/p>\n
Classmate Chris Miles (Hartford, Conn.\/Kingswood Oxford) captured second in the 100 and 200 backstroke, and swam the lead leg of the third place medley relay.<\/p>\n
Alan Karickhoff (Willoughby, Ohio\/Hawken) and Travis Lipscomb (San Antonio, Texas\/Alamo Heights) swam the last two legs of the free relay and captured thirds in the 100 and 50 yard freestyle events, respectively.<\/p>\n
First-years Nick Beard (Lititz, Pa.\/Warwick) and Jake Beley (Monroeville, Pa.\/Gateway) went one-two in the 200 individual medley.<\/p>\n
The Red Devils slip to 3-3 on the season. They are home again next Saturday, hosting the Dickinson Invitational.<\/p>\n
