Springfield also beat Wheaton, 200-94.<\/p>\n<h2>Keene State Press Release<\/h2>\n<p>Hope Walsh was a part of wins in four events as the Keene State College women&#8217;s swimming and diving team took a tri-meet with Springfield College and Wheaton College at the Art Linkletter Natatorium in Springfield on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The Owls beat Wheaton 209-85, while edging the Pride 160-138.<\/p>\n<p>The day began with a tight finish in the 200 medley relay, with Brianna Laliberte, Diana Pimer, Liv Gallugi, and Allison Bartlett winning in 1:52.05, just a half second ahead of the group from Springfield.<\/p>\n<p>Walsh picked up her first win with a dominating time of 10:44.97 in the 1,000 free, more than 16 seconds ahead of Springfield&#8217;s Kassandra Lamb.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor DaSilva added another win, taking the 100 back in 1:00.87, and Bartlett won the 50 free in 24.41, and the 100 free in 54.47. There was another win for Walsh in the 200 back, in 2:15.15, and Pimer won the 200 breast in 2:29.25. Walsh completed the hat-trick with a victory in the 500 free in 5:13.95.<\/p>\n<p>Pimer nabbed another win in the 200 IM, in 2:13.26, while Walsh, DaSilva, Bartlett, and Caity Shea capped the day with a win in the 400 free relay in 3:40.99.<\/p>\n<p>The Owls will be back in action next weekend, taking part in another tri-meet with Tufts and Middlebury at Middlebury College.<\/p>\n<h2>Springfield Press Release<\/h2>\n<p>The Springfield College women&#8217;s swimming and diving team split at a tri-meet in the Art Linkletter Natatorium on Saturday afternoon with Keene State and Wheaton. The Pride stormed past Wheaton 200-94 and were defeated by Keene State 160-138.<\/p>\n<p>The 200 medley relay team of Christiana Greco (Wilbraham, Mass.), Alyssa Carle (Franklin, Mass.), Delaney Dyjak (Ludlow, Mass.) and Nicole Scotto (Southbury, Conn.) touched second in 1:52.60. Kassandra Lamb (Reading, Mass.) followed with a second place finish in the 1000 freestyle (11.01.35), while Callie Phillips (East Longmeadow, Mass.) lead the way in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:58.46.<\/p>\n<p>Emily Medeiros (Wakefield, Mass.) was victorious in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.05) for Springfield, and also landed a spot in the top three in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:29.86.<\/p>\n<p>Greco was the top finisher in both the 100 and 200 butterfly as she cruised in at 58.80 and 2:13.53.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan Kitzmiller (Dover, Pa.) and Melanie Avdoulos (East Longmeadow, Mass.) continued to perform strong in the diving events. Kitzmiller landed first for both events with national qualifying scores of 259.20 on the one-meter and 288.90 on the three-meter. Avdoulos also qualified for nationals after she posted a 257.65 on the one-meter board.<\/p>\n<p>The Pride head to Williamstown Friday November 21st to take on Williams College in a 6:00 pm contest.<\/p>\n<h2>Wheaton Women&#8217;s Press Release<\/h2>\n<p>The Wheaton College women\u2019s swimming and diving team dropped a pair of decisions to Springfield College and Keene State College in a tri-meet by scores of 200-94 and 209-85, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The Lyons began the meet with a third place finish in the 200-medley relay as first-years Jenna Hayden (South Berwick, Maine\/Berwick Academy), Caroline Magnavita (South Glastonbury, Conn.\/Glastonbury) and Aleza Epstein (Amherst, N.Y.\/Sacred Heart Academy) and junior Kelsey Meyer (Malvern, Pa.\/Conestoga) produced a time of 1:54.33.<\/p>\n<p>Epstein went on to finish second in the 100-fly with a time of 1:01.95 and fourth overall in the 50-free (25.66) and the 200-IM (2:15.79).<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore Kelley Baylis (Newtown, Conn.\/Newtown) also turned in a second place individual performance in the 100-back with a time of 1:03.88. Junior Skyler Dean-lee (Rocky Hill, Conn.\/Rocky Hill) came in third in the event with a time of 1:03.95 and also finished third in the 200-back (2:19.04), just ahead of first-year Joanna Zak (Clifton, N.J.\/Montclair Kimberley Academy) who came in fourth with a time of 2:20.38.<\/p>\n<p>Hayden ranked fourth in the 100-free (56.25) and sixth in the 200-free (2:05.42), while junior Julia Baynes (Winchester, Mass.\/Winchester) was fifth in both the 500-free (5:39.59) and the 1,000-free (11:34.60).<\/p>\n<p>Classmate Courtney Leach (Gilford, N.H.\/Gilford) ranked fifth in the 200-free (2:05.38) and the 50-free (25.69) and also helped the 400-medley relay to a third place time of 3:50.01 along with Hayden, Meyer and first-year Charlotte Pitts (North Woodstock, N.H.\/Kimball Union Academy).<\/p>\n<p>Pitts also produced a fifth place finish in the 100-free with a time of 57.12-seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Wheaton returns to action on Friday, November 21 when the Lyons host Roger Williams University inside the Balfour Natatorium at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>For the latest on Wheaton College Athletics, follow the Lyons via social media on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.<\/p>\n<h2>Wheaton Men&#8217;s Press Release<\/h2>\n<p>The Wheaton College men\u2019s swimming and diving team fell to Springfield College and Keene State College in a tri-meet on Saturday afternoon by scores of 154-144 and 229-59, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The Lyons began the meet with a third place performance in the 200-medley relay as senior Richard Jenkins (Bow, N.H.\/Bow), sophomore Samuel Zarfos (Waterville, Maine\/Waterville Senior High) and first-years Jonathan Dunnett (Cumberland, Maine\/Greely) and James Horne (Portsmouth, N.H.\/Berwick Academy) posted a time of 1:41.33.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore Frederick Garneau (Glastonbury, Conn.\/Glastonbury) produced the highest individual finish on the afternoon with his runner-up placement in the 200-back (2:02.59) and the 500-free (5:01.02). Garneau also ranked fouth in the 200-free (1:48.30) and helped the Lyons to a third place finish in the 400-free relay in a time of 3:16.35 along with Jenkins, Horne and sophomore Todd Lambert (Mansfield, Conn.\/E.O. Smith).<\/p>\n<p>Jenkins turned in a third place showing in the 100-free with a time of 49.40-seconds, while junior Jeremy Zak (Clifton, N.J.\/Montclair Kimberley Academy) was fifth in the 200-breast (2:21.24) and the 200-IM (2:08.07).
