SAN ANTONIO, Texas, June 8. JOSH Davis, a five-time Olympic medalist, has indicated he will attempt to make the United States Olympic Team for the 2008 Games in Beijing, China. Davis\u2019 decision was revealed in an article by David King in the San Antonio Express-News<\/i>. Davis won three gold medals at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and collected two silver medals at the 2000 Games in Sydney.<\/p>\n
In preparation for the 2008 Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska, Davis plans on spending a few months in altitude training in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Davis\u2019 best chance to qualify for the Beijing Olympics is the 200-meter freestyle, where the top six finishers will earn a trip to China. If Davis is successful in making a third Olympic squad, he will be a 35-year-old team member. According to the newspaper article, Davis will compete in the Masters World Championships in August, racing in the 30-34 age group. <\/p>\n
