CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 7. THE USA Swimming Grand Prix series will make its second stop of the summer this week at the Charlotte UltraSwim, which runs from Thursday through Sunday in Charlotte, N.C. Fourteen U.S. Olympians are scheduled to compete, including individual Olympic medalists Michael Phelps (Baltimore, Md. \/ Club Wolverine), Ryan Lochte (Daytona Beach, Fla. \/ Florida), Kaitlin Sandeno (Lake Forest, Calif. \/ Club Wolverine) and Erik Vendt (North Easton, Mass. \/ Club Wolverine).<\/p>\n
Phelps and Vendt recently competed at the Eric Namesnik Memorial Grand Prix, the first stop on the tour. The UltraSwim is the latest tuneup for this summer\u2019s United States Nationals in Irvine, California.
