May 27. EIGHT Gulf LSC high school senior swimmers were honored by the Houston Athletic Committee at the 43rd Annual Greater Houston High School Spring Sports Scholar-Athlete Awards Dinner at the JW Marriott Hotel. They were recognized for their scholastic and academic achievement and community service in their communities and school. <\/p>\n<p> Over 500 athletes from the Greater Houston area were nominated with the top 64 being named finalists in the sports of basketball, volleyball, tennis, softball, baseball, golf, soccer, swimming, and track and field.<\/p>\n<p> We congratulate all the finalists, their families, high school coaches, and club coaches for this fine honor.<\/p>\n<p> Liane Carlson: Cy-Fair Swim Club and Memorial High School<\/p>\n<p>Ainsley Cookingham: Cy-Fair Swim Club and Klein High School<\/p>\n<p>Makenna Nielsen: Crimson Gold Aquatics and Stratford High School<\/p>\n<p>Kristine Kelly: Houston Cougar Aquatic Sports and Pasadena High School<\/p>\n<p>Timothy Berry: Harris County Aquatic Program and Lamar High School<\/p>\n<p>Dikran Hanessian: Crimson Gold Aquatics and Westside High School<\/p>\n<p>Brian Kushner: New Wave Aquatics and Klein High School<\/p>\n<p>Casey Strange: Crimson Gold Aquatics and Westside High School<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HOUSTON, Texas.
