ROGALAND – Jeanette Ottesen clinched her second and third titles of the North Sea Swim Meet with some sizzlers in the 50 fly and 100 free tonight.<\/p>\n

Ottesen vaulted to second in the world in the women’s 50-meter fly with a sizzling 25.12. \u00a0That swim moved her just behind Inge Dekker’s 24.59 from the Dubai stop of the FINA World Cup. \u00a0Emilie Beckmann finished second in 26.76 with Svenja Stoffel taking third in 27.26.<\/p>\n

Ottesen then doubled with a swift 52.74 to win the women’s 100-meter free. \u00a0That moved her up to ninth in the world rankings. \u00a0Susann Bjornsen (54.20) and Cecilie Johannessen (54.26) rounded out the top three.<\/p>\n

Rikke Moeller Pedersen blasted the women’s 200-meter breast in 2:18.76. \u00a0That effort catapulted her to second in the world rankings behind Alia Atkinson’s 2:17.84 from the Singapore stop of the FINA World Cup. \u00a0Sofie Reisaenen (2:27.14) and Ariel Braathen (2:29.02) placed second and third.<\/p>\n

Pal Joensen commenced the second day of swimming with a 3:47.80 to win the men’s 400-meter free. \u00a0That moved him to second in the world behind only Sun Yang’s 3:37.10 at the Beijing stop of the FINA World Cup. Frans Johannesen (3:50.43) and Erik Arsland Gidskehaug (3:52.16) took second and third.<\/p>\n

Julie Aglund Lauridsen earned the women’s 400-meter free title in 4:06.28 with Julia Hassler (4:11.99) and Maj Howardsen (4:15.83) touching second and third.<\/p>\n

Marco Loughran hit the wall in 53.45 to win the men’s 100-meter back with Markus Lie just behind with a second-place 53.96. \u00a0Lukas Rauftlin wound up third in 54.66. Ida Lindborg followed with a 59.38 to win the women’s 100-meter back. \u00a0Julie Kepp Jensen (1:01.68) and Veronica Orheim Bjorlykke (1:02.09) took second and third.<\/p>\n

Alexandre Haldemann topped the men’s 50-meter fly in 23.94 with Sindri Jakobsson touching second in 24.11. Jan Smolinski snared third in 24.83.<\/p>\n

Ari-Pekka Liukkonen cruised to victory in the men’s 100-meter free with a 48.10. \u00a0Alexandre Haldemann (50.02) and Isak Eliasson (50.05) placed second and third.<\/p>\n

Chris Christensen won the men’s 200-meter breast in 2:12.63 with Patrik Schwarzenbach touching second in 2:12.99. \u00a0Jolann Bovey claimed third in 2:14.92.<\/p>\n
