LAUSANNE – Todd Schmitz will be the lead lecturer of the FINA Youth Programme held in conjunction with the 12th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) from December 3-7, 2014 in Doha (QAT)..<\/p>\n

Open to the two best athletes by National Federation \u2013 one boy and one girl aged 14-16 years old -, the programme aims at inspiring the young talented swimmers to become the Stars of tomorrow. Moreover, it will provide a useful overview of the latest training trends and techniques, thus raising the swimming level of all the participants.<\/p>\n

The Youth Programme activities will include lectures, workshops in sport science, technical\/training matters, and of course attendance to the finals of the 12th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m).<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is certainly a very valuable tool in terms of development of our younger swimmers. Giving them this opportunity will provide additional motivation and updated knowledge to these athletes and respective coaches, thus contributing to the improvement of their performances at international level\u201d, considered FINA President Dr. Julio C. Maglione.<\/p>\n
