COLORADO SPRINGS – USA Swimming today announced the coaching staff and roster updates for next month\u2019s 2014 FINA Swimming World Championships (25m), set for Dec. 3-7 in Doha, Qatar. SwimMAC Carolina\u2019s David Marsh will serve as the men\u2019s head coach and Indiana University\u2019s Ray Looze has been named the women\u2019s head coach.<\/p>\n

Assistant coaches for Team USA in Doha include Matt Kredich (University of Tennessee\/Tennessee Aquatics), Bruce Marchionda (Western Kentucky University), Chris Plumb (Carmel Swim Club) and Coley Stickels (Canyons Aquatic Club).<\/p>\n

Athletes added to the team include Eugene Godsoe (Greensboro, N.C.) and Emily Allen (Charlotte, N.C.), replacing Nick Thoman (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Katie Hoff (Baltimore, Md.), respectively.<\/p>\n

Godsoe will swim the 50m and 100m backstroke events, while Allen was added to the team in the 800m free relay. Originally named to the roster in the 800m free relay, Katie Drabot (Cedarburg, Wis.) will now swim the 200m free. Jimmy Feigen (San Antonio, Texas) has added the 50m free to his lineup, replacing Cullen Jones (Irvington, N.J.).<\/p>\n

In total, 36 Americans \u2013 20 women and 16 men \u2013 will compete in Doha. The complete U.S. roster for the 2014 FINA Swimming World Championships (25m) can be found at usaswimming.org.<\/p>\n

The 12th FINA Swimming World Championships (25m) will be contested over five days at the Hamad Aquatic Center in Doha. Forty-six events (34 individual and 12 relays) are slated for the competition program, and a total of 138 medals will be up for grabs.<\/p>\n
