Last week we wanted to know who deserves the award for the coach of the year.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"470\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lfZ3sy5cjZc?rel=0&#038;autoplay=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\nNote: YouTube Measures Views Only For Episodes Watched On YouTube.com<br \/>\nSubscribe to our YouTube channel! <\/p>\n<p>Perhaps it should come as no surprise that it\u2019s Bruce Gemmell who got the most votes in our poll, getting 71 percent. Gemmell also won the honor from the American Swim Coaches Association in September for his work with guiding Katie Ledecky to world records, and for getting his son Andrew to gold in the 10K at Pan Pacs. And, of course, Gemmell deserves to be recognized for the work he\u2019s doing with other athletes at Nation\u2019s Capital Swim Club. Coming in second in the voting was Dave Durden, the head men\u2019s coach at Cal and the personal coaches of several top postgrads, with 12 percent. David Marsh, the head coach at SwimMAC Carolina, earned 9 percent of the vote while North Baltimore Aquatic Club head coach Bob Bowman took 8 percent of votes. We\u2019ll find out who the actual winner is on November 24.<\/p>\n<p>And now let\u2019s move on to our next poll question, which asks you to pick one of three nominees for the Golden Goggle Award for Relay Performance of the Year. Team USA won three of the five relays at the Pan Pacific championships, and those three gold medal performances are your choices. Will it be the ladies beating the Aussies by a wide margin in the 800 free relay, the men beating Japan by a few tenths in the 800 free relay or the men taking down the Australian team in the 400 medley relay?
