THE Australian women\u2019s swim team has been making many headlines in recent times, so it was no surprise that their older sisters in Masters swimming produced the only two world records posted at the recent National Championships (LCM) held at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. <\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s 50 Freestyle, 60-year-old Sydneysider Lynnette Stevenson from the Blacktown club took .14 off the previous 60-64 global mark held by German Christel Schulz when she touched in a swift 31.40.<\/p>\n<p>A Sydney club, the Seaside Pirates teamed Robyn Miller-Walton (49), Pam Hutchings (70), Tracy McGuire (45) and Cathy Codling (44) in the (200-239) women\u2019s 4 x 50 freestyle relay that clocked 2:03.01 to erase the previous mark of 2:04.78 set in 2005 by a South African team from Cape Town. The veteran of the team, Pam Hutchings, is no stranger to setting world Masters records, particularly of the dorsal variety, but this record is the only relay world record currently held by an Aussie team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Stephen J.
