who is ranked second in the State of Tennessee by CollegeSwimming.com<\/a>, is the next in a line of strong breaststrokers who have become Volunteers, including the likes of Brad Craig.<\/p>\nBrowne had a really strong long course season this summer, putting up a 1:04.21 in the 100-meter breast and a 2:17.41 in the 200-meter breaststroke. He also will be able to extend into the IMs with his strong ability in breaststroke, as he has a 2:11.06 in the 200-meter IM and 4:45.04 in the 400-meter IM for a potential\u00a0third event at the NCAA level.<\/p>\n
He also enters his final year at the high school level with a nice foundation in yard events on which to build before he enters college next year.<\/p>\n
He has a 56.21 in the 100-yard breast, a 2:02.29 in the 200-yard breast, a 1:54.62 in the 200-yard IM and a 4:04.38 in the 400-yard IM.<\/p>\n
Browne has a really interesting back story, and even appeared on the Morning Swim Show this year<\/a>, to discuss the trials and tribulations he has to overcome to swim every day.<\/p>\nSocial media fans got to know him as \u201cSpeedo Man\u201d because he wore a brief in the 200 breast final at juniors. On the Morning Swim Show, the 17-year-old talked about his type 1 diabetes diagnosis, learning he had Celiac disease and had to go on a gluten-free diet and how he had to adjust his training leading up to juniors. He also talked about the scary warning signs that first alerted him of his diabetes and how his friends and family support him every day.<\/p>\n
