Last week we saw some major headlines across the sport. Here are our picks for the top 5 headlines. <\/p>\n

Iron Woman Katikna Hosszu has essentially locked down the women\u2019s FINA World Cup leader board with two more stops to go. This is the third year Katinka has dominated the World Cup circuit. She has already earned $215,000 dollars this year. Calling all women, there is money to be made here! Very impressive none the less. In the number 4 spot, Head Coach Auggie Busch from the University of Virginia had to suspend 5 swimmers this fall. The student athletes were in violation of Virginia policy and athletic rules. That is the only remark the school will make on the matter but Swimming World will continue to keep you posted with any new news. Our number 3 headline goes to the College Swim Coaches Association with the release of their first Division 1 poll. USC women stand at the top of the poll followed by defending champs Georgia, then Florida, California and University of North Caroline in 5th. Swimming World will continue to post the DI, II and III polls so stay tuned. USA Swimming has recognized their National Team Coaches and that headline has claimed our number 2 spot. The list includes many familiar names and some new up and coming coaches. Weigh in on SwimmingWorld.com and let us know what you think of the list. And now for our number 1 headline, Michigan post grad Connor Jaeger posted the second fastest time in the 1000 free ever in an exhibition heat of the Michigan Quad meet. His time of 8:41.09 broke the pool record and is very impressive for this point in the season. Looking forward to his future performances.
