RALEIGH \u2013 Yahya Radman has been named the new NC State diving coach, as announced by head coach Braden Holloway. Radman comes to the Wolfpack after serving as the head diving coach at University of Wyoming for the past two seasons.<\/p>\n
“We are looking forward to Yahya [Radman] joining our staff, as well as his family joining us in Raleigh,\u201d Holloway said. \u201cAs we look to the future in diving for our program, we\u2019re encouraged about his vision and plan to help bring NC State Diving back to the storied program it has been in previous times.”<\/p>\n
In his time at Wyoming, Radman guided six total All-Conference performers in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). In addition, Radman helped Wyoming send five divers to the 2014 NCAA Zone \u2018E\u2019 Diving Championships, which marked the most representatives for the school since 2010.<\/p>\n

In his first season with Wyoming, Radman coached two All-Conference performers and sent four divers to the 2013 NCAA Zone \u2018E\u2019 Diving Championships.<\/p>\n
Prior to his time at Wyoming, Radman spent two seasons (2010-12) as the assistant diving coach at Florida State. During the 2012 season, he assisted one ACC Champion, two runners up and three third-place finishers. As a team, the Seminoles sent eight student-athletes to the NCAA Zone Diving Championships. In addition, he assisted in coaching one All-American during the 2012 season.<\/p>\n
In the 2010-11 season, Radman coached three ACC runners-up and five third-place finishers. During that year, the Seminoles sent nine student-athletes to the NCAA Zone Diving Championships. Two of the nine divers went on to earn All-America honors. Radman arrived at FSU in time for the 2010 USA Diving Winter Nationals where he assisted coaching the FSU men to the team championship.<\/p>\n
A native of Bloomington, Ind., Radman began his coaching career as an undergraduate volunteer assistant coach. He assisted in coaching six All-Americans and three Olympians at IU. As a volunteer assistant he helped coach the 2003 and `07 women’s Big Ten champion teams and the 2006 men’s Big Ten champion team. During summer competition, he helped lead IU to the 2003, `04 and `06 USA Diving Women’s National Championships. During the 2003 and 2004 summer seasons his teams won the USA Combined Team National Championships.<\/p>\n
Radman also brings a wealth of international experience. In 2012, he was the U.S. team leader for the FINA Diving World Series in Dubai, UAE. He also coached the 2011 U.S. men’s team in Shenzhen, China, at the Summer Universiade. Prior to his time at FSU he spent a year in Egypt and a year and a half in China as an ESL teacher and diving consultant. In 2006, he spent the year as a guest coach to China’s National and Regional training centers in Beijing and Xi’an.<\/p>\n
Radman earned his bachelor’s in French, near eastern cultures, languages and politics from Indiana in 2005. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport psychology and exercise science. He has a USA Diving Full Coach membership and is a certified FINA judge and official.<\/p>\n
Radman is married to Anisa of Charlotte, NC. Together, the couple has one daughter, Nora.<\/p>\n
