SYDNEY, Australia, October 19. Sydney Kwok, a World Junior Championship team member for Hong Kong who is based in Sydney, Australia, decided to compete for the UCLA Bruins collegiately as part of the Class of 2015.<\/p>\n
“I chose UCLA because it has a great balance of sport and academics, the school has the most beautiful campus and has a very diverse range of students, not to mention the dream location and the great weather!” Kwok told Swimming World<\/em>.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\nKwok, who trains at the Cranbrook Eastern Edge Swim Club, is part of a growing class at UCLA that should make an immediate impact next year. \u00a0Kwok swam for Hong Kong at the 2013 World Junior Championships, finishing 14th in the 50-meter backstroke.<\/p>\n
Her top times in long course competition are a 29.01 in the 50-meter back, a 1:03.69 in the 100-meter back and a 2:18.12 in the 200-meter back. \u00a0She also has some freestyle ability with a 26.95 in the 50-meter free, a 57.63 in the 100-meter free and a 2:06.23 in the 200-meter free.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
