RALEIGH, North Carolina, October 18. With N.C. State having a short squad at the SMU Classic, NCAA champion Georgia managed to have enough in the tank to put away the Wolfpack, 183.5-114.5.<\/p>\n

NC State’s Hannah Freyman, Payton Schrum, Riki Bonnema and Lotta Nevalainen started the meet with a winning 1:42.82 in the 200-yard medley relay.<\/p>\n

UGA’s Rachel Zilinskas answered with a 10:03.50 to win the 1000-yard free. NC State’s Kristin Connors (10:17.41) and Kendall Pena (10:20.13) finished second and third. Zilinskas swept the distance events with a 4:53.09 in the 500-yard free. Teammate Anna Kolanowski placed second in 4:57.94 with Connors taking third in 4:59.64.<\/p>\n

UGA’s Hali Flickinger then won the 200-yard free in 1:48.91 with Nevalainen taking second in 1:51.50. NC State’s Addisynn Bursch wound up third in 1:53.11. Flickinger won another title later with a 54.76 in the 100-yard fly. Kylie Stewart took second in 55.39 with NC State’s Duffield in third in 56.66.<\/p>\n

NC State’s Freyman picked up the 100-yard back title in 56.10 with UGA’s Kimberlee John-Williams (57.04) and NC State’s Nicola Haynes (57.39) taking second and third. Freyman doubled up with a 2:02.11 in the 200-yard back. UGA’s Anna Neumeister took second in 2:02.49 with teammate Olivia Smoliga taking third in 2:03.93.<\/p>\n

UGA’s Meaghan Raab claimed the 100-yard breast in 1:05.20 with teammate Madeline Locus taking second in 1:05.64. NC State’s Payton Schrum snared third in 1:06.62. Raab doubled up with a 2:19.87 in the 200-yard breast. Bursch took second in 2:22.43 with UGA’s Amber McDermott earning third in 2:23.86.<\/p>\n

UGA’s Kylie Stewart topped the 200-yard fly in 1:59.31 with teammate Emily Cameron turning in a second-place 2:02.54. NC State’s Katelyn Linker posted a third-place 2:02.58. Another win went to Stewart with a 2:02.12 in the 200-yard IM. Cameron (2:02.22) and Raab (2:05.68) went 2-3.<\/p>\n

NC State’s Riki Bonnema (22.72) and Krista Duffield (23.76) took first and second in the 50-yard free with UGA’s Olivia Smoliga closing out the podium with a third-place 23.82.<\/p>\n

Locus snagged her first win of the meet with a 50.16 in the 100-yard free, while Bonnema took second in 50.37. Nevalainen placed third in 50.48.<\/p>\n

In diving competition, UGA’s Olivia Ball swept the women’s boards with 289.80 points in the one-meter and 328.58 points in the three-meter events.<\/p>\n

NC State’s Nevalainen, Bonnema, Duffield and Freyman closed out the meet with a 3:22.60 for the win in the 400-yard free relay.<\/p>\n
