CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, October 9. In one of the biggest commitments of the year, No. 5 recruit Nora McCullagh of SwimMAC has elected to compete at the University of Texas after her senior year at Charlotte Catholic High.<\/p>\n

McCullagh, the top-ranked recruit in the State of North Carolina by CollegeSwimming.com<\/a>, is a downright scary versatile option for head coach Carol Capitani.<\/p>\n

McCullagh is an immediate point-scoring threat in a bunch of short course events, with some seriously fast times this past year. \u00a0She clocked a 49.07 in the 100-yard free, 1:46.22 in the 200-yard free, 53.59 in the 100-yard back and 4:10.33 in the 400-yard IM, all ranked in the 900s in power points.<\/p>\n

McCullagh can also get after it in long course competition with a 25.72 in the 50-meter free and a 56.14 in the 100-meter free, now to mention a 2:01.45 in the 200-meter free.<\/p>\n

McCullagh is also a National Age Group record holder in the 800-yard free relay as well as in the 200-yard medley relay, 400-yard medley relay, 200-yard free relay and 800-meter free relay as part of SwimMAC’s tremendous age group girls coached by David Marsh and Alan Pfau.<\/p>\n
