THE University of Texas&#8217; Orange team defeated the White team 125-120 Friday night at the team&#8217;s annual Orange and White meet, led by triple event winner Will Licon.<\/p>\n<p>The Orange squad jumped out to the lead early on with five straight victories to open the meet. Kip Darmody got things started with a 46.92 in the 100 back, before Licon grabbed the 100 breast win in 53.88 and Matt Ellis topped the 100 fly in 46.71. Sam Lewis (1000 free, 9:01.18) and Clay Youngquist (200 free, 1:35.09) won the next two events to give their team the lead.<\/p>\n<p>Licon later added wins in the 200 IM (1:46.44) and 200 breast (1:57.99), while Youngquist topped the 100 free in 43.85.<\/p>\n<p>The White team got wins from Brett Ringgold in the 50 free (19.81), Tripp Cooper in the 200 fly (1:46.88), Jack Conger in the 200 back (1:42.35) and Jonathan Roberts in the 500 free (4:22.44).
