CAN Stanford make it 25 consecutive Pac-10 championships? That answer will be formed beginning today at the King County Aquatic Center. The Cardinal has won the past 24 titles, including a 50.5-point victory over California at last year\u2019s championship meet. The University of Southern California finished in third place a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>Stanford will be led by sprinter Benjamin Wildman-Tobriner and middle-distance ace Andy Grant. Meanwhile, Cal will turn to the exploits of sprinters Michael Cavic and Jonas Tilly. With the NCAA Championships just a few weeks away, it will be interesting to see which teams enter the Pac-10 Champs rested and which save the majority of their juice for The Big Show.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Arizona, a leading contender for the NCAA crown, will be led by Simon Burnett and Lyndon Ferns. A British Olympian, Burnett will compete at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne later this month. For Southern Cal, Ous Mellouli and Larsen Jensen will carry the banner. Mellouli is one of the world\u2019s premier individual medley performers while Jensen is the reigning Olympic silver medalist in the 1,500 freestyle.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FEDERAL WAY, Washington, March 1.
