{"id":108189,"date":"2014-08-25T10:13:15","date_gmt":"2014-08-25T17:13:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=108189"},"modified":"2014-08-25T10:13:15","modified_gmt":"2014-08-25T17:13:15","slug":"junior-pan-pacific-championships-open-wednesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/junior-pan-pacific-championships-open-wednesday\/","title":{"rendered":"Junior Pan Pacific Championships Open Wednesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Photo Courtesy: Kristin Karkoska<\/p>\n<p>COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, August 25.\u00a0MORE\u00a0than 200 swimmers from nine nations, including 46 Team USA up-and-comers, are set to compete at this week\u2019s 2014 Junior Pan Pacific Championships, which open Wednesday in Maui, Hawaii.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a title=\"Psych Sheet Posted For Junior Pan Pacific Championships\" href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/psych-sheet-posted-for-junior-pan-pacific-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\">FULL PSYCH SHEET<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Featuring the teams from the U.S., Australia, Canada, Japan and five additional Pan Pacific nations, the four-day pool competition runs through Saturday at the Kihei Aquatic Center, while the 10-kilometer open water event follows Sunday at Ulua Beach. These venues also served as hosts for the 2005, 2007 and 2010 Junior Pan Pacific Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Prelim pool sessions begin at 9 a.m. locally (3 p.m. EDT), with finals set for 5 p.m. locally (11 p.m. EDT).
