Austria&#8217;s Lena Kreundl (56.32), Slovenia&#8217;s Tjasa Pintar (56.39), Norway&#8217;s Elise Olsen (57.05), Luxembourg&#8217;s Julia Meynen (57.06) and Cuba&#8217;s Elisbet Gamez Matos (57.25) secured spots in the semifinals.<\/p>\n<p>Turkey&#8217;s Ilknur Nihan Cakici and South Africa&#8217;s Marlies Ross set up a swimoff for 16th with matching 57.30s. Korea&#8217;s Park Jinyoung also cleared 2:12 with a third-seeded 2:11.88, while Hungary&#8217;s Dalma Sebestyen took fourth in 2:12.14.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s Brianna Throssell (2:12.31), Japan&#8217;s Jurina Shiga (2:12.50), Indonesia&#8217;s Monalisa Arieswaty Lorenza (2:13.08) and 200 IM winner Vien Nguyen of Vietnam (2:13.90) also made the championship heat.<\/p>\n<h1>Men&#8217;s 200 free<\/h1>\n<p>Italy&#8217;s Nicolangelo di Fabio put up one of the easiest swims of the morning, and it still proved to be the fastest, as he clocked in at 1:50.08. \u00a0He&#8217;s a huge favorite heading into the finale considering just how easy his swim looked this morning.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2>Top-Seed Splits:<\/h2>\n<p>50m<br \/>\n25.71 (2)<br \/>\n25.71<br \/>\n100m<br \/>\n53.64 (1)<br \/>\n27.93<br \/>\n150m<br \/>\n1:22.12 (1)<br \/>\n28.48<br \/>\n200m<br \/>\n1:50.08 (1)<br \/>\n27.96<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Netherlands&#8217; Kyle Stolk powered his way to second in 1:50.32 with Brazil&#8217;s Luiz Altamir Lopes Melo taking third in 1:50.58 as those two are the likeliest competition for di Fabio in the finale.<\/p>\n<p>Germany&#8217;s Damian Wierling (1:50.70), South Africa&#8217;s Joshua Steyn (1:50.79), Israel&#8217;s Ido Haber (1:50.84), Great Britain&#8217;s Duncan Scott (1:51.23) and USA&#8217;s Patrick Mulcare (1:51.33) also made their way into the championship heat.<\/p>\n<h1>Women&#8217;s 400 medley relay<\/h1>\n<p>Although Great Britain had the top swim of the morning with a 4:09.83 by way of Jessica Fullalova, Georgina Evans, Charlotte Atkinson and Amelia Maughan, China looks to be the favorite tonight after Shen Duo shut it down with 15 meters to go en route to China posting a second ranked 4:10.15.
