IAN Thorpe took part in a media opportunity today just before the beginning of the 2014 European Championships in Berlin.<\/p>\n<p>Our apologies for the noise level in the interview, as the breakout interviews took place during a spate of small-group meetings with Thorpe, and ambient noise was not a primary consideration for the organizers. \u00a0Additionally, as part of acceptance for being part of the event, all media were required not to ask any questions about Thorpe&#8217;s personal lifestyle and\/or personal issues in the past year.<\/p>\n<p>Thorpe talks about the Pan Pacific Championships, the European Championships as well as his favorite swim of all time. \u00a0He picks his 400 free relay in Sydney and his individual 400 freestyle in Athens. Thorpe says that he is still training for fitness, but will not be swimming competitively.
