Cleveland State University has named its natatorium the Robert F. Busbey natatorium in recognition of Coach Busbey’s 50-plus years of athletic achievement and service to Cleveland State. “As a student-athlete, coach, teacher, administrator and benefactor, no single individual has impacted Cleveland State University athletics more than Bob Busbey,” said John Konstantinos, athletic director, at the ceremony honoring Busbey. <\/p>\n
In addition to honoring Busbey, the event celebrated a successful fund-raising effort for the Robert F. Busbey Scholarship Fund for Swimming. To date, more than $340,000 has been raised, including $125,000 in matching funds from Busbey, himself.
