SANTA CLARA, California, June 21. CHEYENNE Coffman is doing some different types of training this year in her quest to break out onto the sprinting scene, and she talked about what she’s doing in and out of the water this season in an interview after winning the 50 free at the Arena Grand Prix in Santa Clara.<\/p>\n

In addition to working extremely hard in the water, Coffman is doing dryland training with “a bunch of moms and old ladies” in Fresno, focusing on cardio-based weight training and abdominal work. She is having fun as a “late bloomer” to swimming, and is happy to have chosen swimming over basketball for college.<\/p>\n
