January, 8.  NORTHWESTERN won 11 of 19 events and a pair of Wildcats swam NCAA &#39;B&#39; standard times, but the &#39;Cats fell, 194-158, at No. 16 Tennessee Saturday night in NU&#39;s first competition since the holiday break. <\/p>\n<p>Sophomores Katie Braun (Edina, Minn.\/Edina) and Andrea Hupman (Lawrenceville, Ga.\/Brookwood) eachwon three events, while freshman diver Chelsea Davis (Columbus, Ohio\/Worthington Kilbourne)finished first in a pair. <\/p>\n<p>With the loss, Northwestern falls to 4-4 in dual meets this season, while Tennessee remains perfect at 5-0. <\/p>\n<p>The Wildcats opened the meet with a win in the 400 medley relay. Senior Katie Paglini (Chicago,Ill.\/Latin School), freshman Hayley Fry (Marion, Iowa\/Linn-Mar), Braun and Hupman comprised NU&#39;s first-place squad. <\/p>\n<p>Two events later, Hupman won the 100 free with an NCAA &#39;B&#39; time of 50.76. Fry followed with a second-place finish in the 200 breast (2:22.11). <\/p>\n<p>Davis then won the first of her two events on the day, capturing the 1-meter board by more than 23 points with a score of 291.67. <\/p>\n<p>Braun followed with the first of her three wins on the day, taking the 100 fly in 56.10. After Paglini took second in the 200 back for the &#39;Cats, Braun earned victory in the 400 IM (4:27.47). <\/p>\n<p>Tennessee won two relays before Braun took the next individual event, swimming an NCAA &#39;B&#39; time of 2:01.34 in the 200 fly to win by a whopping nine seconds. <\/p>\n<p>Hupman followed with her second win of the meet, swimming a 1:50.55 to win the 200 free. <\/p>\n<p>Davis continued her dominance on the diving boards with a 336.29 to win the 3-meter event by 38 points. Hupman then swept the sprint free events with a 24.05 time in the 50 free. <\/p>\n<p>Paglini won the final individual event of the night with a 2:07.64 time in the 200 IM. <\/p>\n<p>The Wildcats closed the meet with a win in the 400 free relay, finishing nearly five seconds ahead of the second-place Lady Vols squad. Hupman, senior Sara Petric (Mequon, Wis.\/Homestead), Braun and senior Michelle Oeser (Eliot, Maine\/Marshwood) comprised the victorious relay. <\/p>\n<p>Northwestern returns to action Saturday, Jan.
