Master Spas<\/a>!<\/i><\/p>\nIRVINE, California, August 9. IT has been a long season for SwimMAC Carolina\u2019s Nick Thoman. He suffered shoulder and nerve injuries that kept him out of racing for a stretch this spring, but he pieced things together in time for Summer Nationals. Swimming in lane seven of the 100 back final, Thoman came on strong off the wall and held on to finish third in 53.46, tied for eighth in the world. Thoman discussed how his swim would most likely put him on the Pan Pacs team, and he explained what he hoped to do when he gets there<\/p>\n
