IRVINE, California, August 8. HAVING the 50 backstroke at the USA Swimming nationals works well for David Plummer as he mostly sticks to the sprint backstrokes, and in this video interview he talked about how winning tonight\u2019s sprint will prepare him to race the 100 back event tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Plummer also discussed slipping on the start, which he did at last year\u2019s world championships and Matt Grevers did tonight. He said he would like the backstroke start ledges to go into place sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n
