THE first thing Tyler Clary wanted to talk about when he arrived at the mixed zone Wednesday at the USA Swimming nationals is his no-show on the award stand after placing second in the 200 butterfly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t think they were going to do (the awards ceremony) right after the event,\u201d Clary said. \u201cNo disrespect to anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clary said he was surprised by Tom Shields\u2019 ability to finish the race and win, but he was pleased with his own swim and looks forward to making adjustments ahead of the Pan Pacific championships.
