SARAH Sjostrom just can&#8217;t be stopped. She&#8217;s been on fire this year, and kept on rolling with a blistering swim in the women&#8217;s 100-meter fly tonight at Swedish Nationals.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Sjostrom scorched the women&#8217;s 100-meter fly finale as she matched her world-leading season best of 56.50 from the Sette Colli meet. Tonight, Sjostrom went out in 26.41, just off Dana Vollmer&#8217;s world-record pace of 26.39. Tonight&#8217;s time smashed Sjostrom&#8217;s 2009 meet record of 57.35 and sets up yet another chance at the European Championships for a special swim. The primary question is whether Sjostrom can challenge Vollmer&#8217;s global mark of 55.98 when all is said and done. Louise Hansson (59.20) and Stina Gardell (1:00.38) took second and third tonight.<\/p>\n<p>Jennie Johannson threw down the second-ranked women&#8217;s 50-meter breast in the world this year with a 30.39 to win. That time cleared her previous second-ranked 30.56 from the Sette Colli meet, and also eclipsed her 2012 meet record of 30.65. Ruta Meilutyte is the only person faster this year with a 29.90 also at Sette Colli. Una Finnman snatched second in 31.92, while Jessica Billquist grabbed third in 32.10.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><iframe id=\"twitter-widget-2\" class=\"twitter-tweet twitter-tweet-rendered\" title=\"Embedded Tweet\" width=\"300\" height=\"210\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Simon Sjodin edged the Swedish record in the men&#8217;s 400-meter IM with a time of 4:19.68. That effort just clipped the 4:19.82 set by Erik Persson last month, that will continue to stand as the junior Swedish record as well. Sjodin had previously owned the record with a 4:21.52 from the 2010 Amsterdam Cup, and reclaimed the title tonight. Kristian Kron finished second in 4:24.96, while Persson lost a lot of speed in just a few months with a third-place 4:25.63.<\/p>\n<p>Michelle Coleman, the Swedish record holder with a 2:10.56 from April, took down the meet record in the women&#8217;s 200-meter back tonight in 2:12.99. That&#8217;s much slower than her time from April, but was enough to cleared Henriette Stenkvist&#8217;s previous mark of 2:13.32 from 2011. Louise Hansson touched second in 2:14.94 tonight, while Ida Lindborg tied Therese Svendsen for third with matching 2:19.17s.<\/p>\n<p>Mattias Carlson put up a 55.97 to win the men&#8217;s 100-meter backstroke title, while Axel Pettersson raced his way to second in 56.59. Pettersson gave his junior record a run, but came short of the 56.17 from April. Fabian Bergman checked in with a third-place time of 57.31. Sebastian Holmberg won the men&#8217;s 50-meter fly in 24.21. Christoffer Carlsen (24.35) and Jesper Jonsson (24.37) placed second and third.<\/p>\n<p>Laura Lajunen claimed the women&#8217;s 800-meter free in 8:55.83 with Erica Dahlgren placing second in 9:03.57.
