INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, August 2. W. North Carolina’s Alyssa Arwood and Somerset Valley’s Zack Warner each won two out of the three breaststroke events at this week’s YMCA National Long Course Championships.<\/p>\n

Women’s 50 Breast<\/strong><\/h1>\n
In prelims, Olivia Ontjes of Triangle Area lowered her own national record in the women\u2019s 50 breast with a 32.62, bettering her mark of 32.76 from last year. In the final, however, W. North Carolina\u2019s Alyssa Arwood powered by Ontjes to win in 32.72. Ontjes settled for second in 32.99, with Triangle Area teammate Claire Williams in third at 33.66.<\/p>\n

North Carolina\u2019s Alyssa Arwood did the same in the 100 breast, dropping two and a half seconds from her prelim time and sneaking by top qualifier Olivia Ontjes of Triangle Area, 1:11.68 to 1:11.81. Both swimmers just missed the national record of 1:11.26, held by KC Moss and Savanna Faulconer.
