ASTON, Pennsylvania, November 3. HERE is a look at the weekend schedule involving the top-ranked collegiate men\u2019s programs in the nation. Each Thursday, SwimmingWorldMagazine.com will publish a preview of the major meets slated for the weekend \u2013 on the male and female side.<\/p>\n
THE MEN\u2019S TOP-10<\/b><\/p>\n
1. Auburn:<\/b> Winners of the last three NCAA team titles, the Tigers will not be in action this week. Auburn will return to competition November 11-12 when it travels to the University of Virginia for a matchup with the Cavaliers, Penn State and Purdue.<\/p>\n
2. Stanford:<\/b> The Cardinal competed at the Pacific Tiger Invitational last week and is scheduled to face California-Berkeley in a dual meet on Wednesday. Stanford is powered by Ben Wildman-Tobriner, one of rising sprint stars in the United States.<\/p>\n
3. Florida:<\/b> Probably the top male collegian these days, Ryan Lochte has gotten off to a sizzling start for the Gators. The two-time Olympic medalist will return to the pool with his teammates for a November 11 clash with Florida Atlantic.<\/p>\n
4. Michigan:<\/b> Could the Wolverines contend for the NCAA team title? Absolutely. Behind the duo of Peter Vanderkaay and Davis Tarwater, Michigan will receive a test on Saturday when it welcomes Georgia to Canham Natatorium for a noon matchup.<\/p>\n
5. Arizona:<\/b> The Wildcats could also make a run at the team crown when the NCAA Championships roll around. Arizona, highlighted by the presence of Simon Burnett, will get back in the competitive flow when it faces Southern California on November 18.<\/p>\n
6. Cal-Berkeley:<\/b> Always loaded in the sprint department, thanks to the coaching of Mike Bottom, Cal won last week\u2019s Pacific Tiger Invitational and already owns dual-meet wins over Texas and Florida. The Golden Bears will meet Stanford on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
7. Texas:<\/b> Last time out, the Longhorns split their dual-meet results, defeating Florida while falling to California-Berkeley. Texas has a handful of dynamite freshmen and the sprinting skills of Garrett Weber-Gale. The Longhorns will meet Southern California on November 11-12.<\/p>\n
8. Southern California:<\/b> The Trojans are led by the tandem of Larsen Jensen and Ous Mellouli, sure to provide significant scoring at the NCAA Champs. Jensen won a pair of silver medals at last summer\u2019s World Champs while Mellouli won a pair of bronze medals. USC will meet Texas on November 11-12.<\/p>\n
9. Indiana:<\/b> The Hoosiers have dropped their first two dual meets of the season, falling to Auburn and Minnesota. Sergiy Fesenko has been a standout in the distance events and will lead Indiana in a quad meet Friday that also features Southern Illinois, Louisville and Wisconsin.<\/p>\n
10. Georgia:<\/b> The Bulldogs are coming off a defeat to Florida, but have received solid early-season performances from Gil Stovall and Sebastien Rouault. The Bulldogs are scheduled to meet Michigan on Saturday afternoon at noon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
