WASHINGTON, D.C., September 20. AS the collegiate season approaches, another school has announced an assistant-coaching hiring. American University, based in the nation\u2019s capital, has announced the appointment of Kathleen O\u2019Dell to head assistant coach. The selection was announced by head coach Mark Davin. O\u2019Dell was most recently at the University of Miami.<\/p>\n
O\u2019Dell\u2019s coaching career also includes stints at Lehigh University and Bucknell University. At Bucknell, O\u2019Dell worked with the stroke and middle-distance swimmers and also served as the program\u2019s recruiting coordinator. O\u2019Dell is also familiar with a number of collegiate camps, as she\u2019s worked summer sessions at Auburn, Harvard and Lehigh. <\/p>\n
During her competitive days at Bloomsburg University, O\u2019Dell earned All-American status on two occasions and was an NCAA Championships qualifier at the Division II level. O\u2019Dell graduated from Bloomsburg in 1999 and received her Master\u2019s degree in secondary education from Lehigh in 2001.<\/p>\n

"Her collegiate coaching as well as her work at multiple camps with numerous world class athletes puts her head and shoulders above anyone we've ever had at the assistant position.
