GOLD COAST, Australia, August 22. TONIGHT’S 100 freestyle marked the first time Simone Manuel competed in the championship final of the event at a major international meet, and the first international final of any kind for Weitzeil. The two analyzed their swims and the experience of racing in a high-profile event. Weitzeil also talked about the lessons she’s learned from the more established members of Team USA.
