Stanford’s Simone Manuel and Lia Neal finished first and second, respectively, in the women’s 100 free at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara. Manuel won the event for a third straight arena Pro Series meet in 54.31 while Neal was close behind in 54.64.

The two teammates talk about changing the sport of swimming and their accomplishments in and out of the pool. Manuel talks about taking things one step at a time while enjoying her time as a student-athlete at Stanford, while Neal discusses feeling less pressure and having fun with the sport.
