USA Synchro Announces 13-15 and 12U National Teams

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. – USA Synchro announced the athletes named to the 13-15 and 12 & Under National Teams following the recent U.S. National Synchronized Swimming Championships.

The swimmers were selected after several team trials. There will be two 13-15 national teams and one 12 & Under team.

The athletes selected to the 2017 U.S. 13-15 National Team 1 are:

Yara Elian, Walnut Creek Aquanuts
Nicole Goot, Santa Clara Aquamaids
Hannah Heffernan, Santa Clara Aquamaids
Kaitlyn Hoang, Santa Clara Aquamaids
Abigail Kartzinel, La Mirada Aquabelles
Claire Kim, Santa Clara Aquamaids
Sophia Kong, Walnut Creek Aquanuts
Ruby Remati, ANA Synchro
Noelle Song, La Mirada Aquabelles
Chiara Steele, Santa Clara Aquamaids
Marilyn Weaver, Santa Clara Aquamaids
Christina Wu, La Mirada Aquabelles

These athletes will be competing at the 2017 Comen Cup in Mealhada, Portugal, Aug. 2-6. The coaches are Sara Lowe, Megan Azebu and Heather Carrasco.

The athletes selected to the 2017 U.S. 13-15 National Team 2 are:

Delaney Beach, Scottsdale Synchro
Ashley Latchford, Buffalo Swimkins
Ryan Lewis, Walnut Creek Aquanuts
Olivia Li, New Canaan Aquianas
Jade Low, La Mirada Aquabelles
Gabriela Ospina, Coral Springs Aquacades

Katie Reveno, Coral Springs Aquacades
Victoria Zimm, Arizona Desert Dolphins

These athletes will be competing at the 2017 UANA Synchronized Swimming Championships in Santiago, Chile, Aug. 21-27.

The athletes selected to the U.S. 12 & Under National Team are:

Megumi Field, La Mirada Aquabelles

Anya Melson, Minnesota Synchronettes

The team, coached by Hiea-Yoon Kang and Rosilyn Tegart, also will compete at the UANA Synchronized Swimming Championships in Santiago, Chile, Aug. 21-27.
