Swim Poll of the Week: What Length of Race do You Enjoy Most?

swim poll of the week

This is the Swim Poll of the Week for Thursday, September 9, 2021, sponsored by Strechcordz Swim Training Products. In our last poll, we wanted to know: What length of race do you enjoy the most?

Everyone has their preference here, based on their personal skills and simply what you enjoy the most. Are you a short-and-sweet type of swimmer who loves 50s and maybe a 100-yard or 100-meter swim? If so, you might have trouble holding on for a full 200, and anything longer than that, definitely not. Or maybe you don’t have enough quickness for the 50s, but the 200s and 400/500 free and 400 IM are your jam. Not too speedy but also not too long that you might get bored or too tired. Or maybe you just can’t get going for those 200-400-500 races, and you need the eight-plus minutes of distance — or even the two-plus hours of open water — to really make your mark. Or perhaps you just enjoy the challenge of the longer swims.

So which out of these three types of races do Swimming World readers prefer?
