NEW COMMIT: Princeton University has snagged a new verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season from Patrick Dinu of Constanța, Romania.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“I am thrilled to announce my commitment to the application process at Princeton University. I want to first and foremost thank my family, my parents and my grandparents for all of the support offered throughout my swimming career up until this point. I want to thank my coach for all the hard practices we have been through and all of the fun ones. I am truly grateful for the opportunity that coach Matt and coach Abby gave me. GO TIGERS!”

Dinu does his club swimming with CSM Constanța and recently competed at the Romanian National Championships last month where he earned bronze in the 50m free, 100m free and 50m breast. He also won gold in two relays.

  • 100m free – 50.05
  • 50m breast – 28.71
  • 50m back – 26.17

His best times, converted to yard, would’ve scored in the B-final of the 50 free, 100 free and 100 back at the 2023 Ivy League Championships.
