NEW COMMIT: The University of Florida has received a new verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season and beyond from Elan “Lilly” Daley of Toronto, Canada.

She will join Emma Weyant as a member of the Gators’ Class of 2028.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“stoked to finally announce my verbal commitment to further my athletic & academic career at the University of Florida!!! thankful to my friends and family, especially my mum and my coaches for all their support. can’t wait to be a baby gator!”

Daley most recently competed at Ontario Junior International where she earned six top-3 finishes, including a win in the 100 free. While representing Team Canada, she raced to fifth in the 100m free, sixth in the 200m free and seventh in the 50m free at Junior Pan Pacs.

She trains year-round with Etobicoke Swimming.

In LCM, her best times include:

  • 50 free – 25.98
  • 100 free – 55.39
  • 200 free – 2:00.52
  • 100 fly – 1:01.48

In SCY, those times convert to:

  • 50 free – 22.68
  • 100 free – 48.45
  • 200 free – 1:45.69
  • 100 fly – 54.12

Daley will be a great addition to the Gators’ lineup as her top times (converted to yards) in the 100 free and 200 free would already score in the B-final at the 2022 SEC Championships.
