Junior National Qualifier Ethan Mindlin Sends Verbal to Duke

NEW COMMIT: Junior National qualifier Ethan Mindlin of Scottsdale, Arizona, has announced his verbal commitment to Duke University beginning in Fall 2024.

He told Swimming World:

“I am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to Duke University. It’s an honor to have the opportunity to continue my athletic and academic careers at this amazing school. Thank you to my family, friends, teammates and coaches at Chaparral High School and Scottsdale Aquatic Club who have supported me throughout my swimming career. Go Blue Devils!”

Mindlin trains year-round with Scottsdale Aquatic Club and earned five best times at Juniors West back in December. Last summer, he had a great showing at Arizona Seniors where he placed fifth in the 200m back with three other top-20 finishes.

His best times include:

100 back – 50.18
200 back – 1:47.70
200 free – 1:40.55
500 free – 4:33.87

Currently a junior at Chaparral High School, Mindlin placed second in the 100 back and fourth in the 200 free at the Arizona DI State Championships this past season. He took fourth in the 100 back and eighth in the 100 fly during his sophomore season.
