Georgia Swimming Adds Two Recruits

ATHENS, GA – Georgia head swim coach Jack Bauerle announced the signing of two additional members of the class of 2004 as Neka Mabry of Little Rock, Ark., and Rebecca Rose of Raleigh, N.C., inked with the Lady Bulldogs.

Mabry, a senior at Little Rock Central High School in Little Rock, Ark., was the 1999 Speedo Southeast Junior National High Point Champion, winning the 100 back and 100 breast while placing second in the 200 IM and eighth in the 100 fly. The 1999 Arkansas High School Champion and record holder in the 50 and 100 free, Mabry was the 1997 and 1998 Arkansas Female Swimmer of the Year. She swims for Tay Stratton and the Little Rock Athletic Club.

Rose is currently a senior at Cary Academy in Raleigh, N.C. She was the North Carolina Independent High School Champion in the 200y and 500y freestyle and placed second in the 500 freestyle at spring juniors in St. Louis, Mo. Rose is on the Scholar’s Honor Roll and is a member of the Honor Society at Cary Academy.
