Adam Crossen, who is the associate head coach for Irvine Novaquatics and the head coach for Soka University’s swim team in Southern California, is currently recovering after he was shot at outside his home early Monday morning.

A fundraising page was set up on “YouCaring” to raise money to support Crossen’s family and to help with his medical bills. Read the full post on the GoFundMe page below, and click here to donate.

“In the early morning hours of  Monday, January 29, Adam Crossen started his day like most others. His mornings always start very early as he is a dedicated college and club swim coach. He headed toward his car around 4am, only to find it being burglarized. He was shot moments later in the chest. It is by God’s amazing grace that he is alive. While the road to recovery seems very long and almost insurmountable at this early stage, HE WILL RECOVER! As a community, we are believing and praying for Adam’s health and body to be fully restored. Adam is an amazing husband to a very strong wife. She is a rock beside him every single step of the way. He is a dedicated, loving and supportive father to 3 school age boys. Adam is a friend to many, both young and old.

“You can imagine the toll this is taking on this family emotionally and financially.

This page is two-fold. One, please consider donating any amount to support this family and the mounting medical bills currently, and the ones to come in the future. Two, giving comes in more ways than one. In addition to your financial gift, please add the Crossen family to your prayer list. Pray for Adam to be fully restored back to his health (body, mind, and heart) before this senseless act of violence, for protection over his children’s hearts and minds, and the strength and peace that only God can give.”
