Glenn Christopher Nellis, 42, was sentenced to three years in jail after pleading guilty to third degree rape, promoting a sexual performance by a child and disseminating indecent material to a minor according to the Buffalo News.

Nellis, who goes by Chris, engaged in a sexual relationship with an underaged female member of the Eden Dolphins Swim Club.  Friday morning, the State Supreme Court sent Nellis to jail for three years.

Due to the incident, the Eden Dolphins Swim Club has been dissolved. Allegations first surfaced in February of 2015 when Nellis was investigated for “exchanging sexually explicit photos and messages with a 16-year-old girl. He also allegedly had explicit photos of the girl on his computer,” according to the Buffalo News.

The Eden Dolphins Swim Club has since merged with Nickle City Race Club, and Nellis has been banned by USA Swimming from the sport for life. Nellis has also been banned from any school district properties.
