Coleman Yates of Gator Swim Club Sends 2023 Verbal Commitment to Navy

NEW COMMIT: The United States Naval Academy has received a verbal commitment for the 2023-24 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Coleman Yates of Lake Park, Georgia.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“I am excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the United States Naval Academy. I would like to thank all my friends, family, and coaches who have supported me through my journey. Go Navy!”

Now training with Gator Swim Club in Gainesville, Florida, Yates won the 200 IM at the Florida Spring Championships back in March in a new personal best time. He also raced three events at Juniors East in December 2021 and had three top-18 finishes at West Fargo Futures last summer.

His best times include:

  • 200 IM – 1:50.23
  • 400 IM – 3:58.04
  • 100 fly – 49.21

Navy won the 2022 Patriot League Championship title under head coach Bill Roberts.
