Anton Chupkov Wins 200 Breast With Meet Record at 2015 FINA World Junior Championships

Russia’s Anton Chupkov was at it again, this time with a meet record time in the men’s 200-meter breast finals at the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships.

Chupkov raced his way to a winning effort of 2:10.19 in the finale.  That swim broke his own mark of 2:10.73 set earlier in the meet, but fell short of his World Junior record of 2:09.64 clocked at Worlds.

Australia’s Matthew Wilson placed second tonight in 2:11.23 with Japan’s Ippei Miyamoto claiming third overall in 2:11.59.

USA’s Reece Whitley wound up fourth in 2:12.71, while Italy’s Nicolo Martinenghi earned fifth in 2:13.05.

USA’s Chandler Bray (2:15.00), Great Britain’s Charlie Attwood (2:15.04) and Austria’s Christopher Rothbauer (2:16.53) closed out the finale.
