Alabama coach Dennis Pursley sat down with David Rieder of Swimming World to discuss the 200 Medley Relay win. Pursley discusses the progress he has seen the team make throughout his years, what it has been like to rise from scoring at the bottom of SECs two years ago to winning the relay tonight. He looks forward to tomorrow, mentioning a goal to maintain the same level of performance that they have had the entire meet, and speaks of expectation that the win tonight will do a lot to provide energy for tomorrow.

Later, Alabama’s relay team of Connor Oslin, Pasha Romanov, Lucas Kaliszak, and Kristian Gkolomeev sat down with Rieder to talk about their exciting win in the 200 medley relay. The men spoke about their current team standing at 7th which puts them on pace to meet their goal of finishing in the top 10, and their desire to win the 200 medley coming into the meet. They also talk about what it is like to win as a team that was not necessarily predicted to take the title, and how the energy on deck will carry them into the final day.
