It’s always inspirational to see one’s teammates do well and Vanessa Pearl did just that prior to her swim in the women’s 200 IM A final. She was able to see teammate Kelly Fertel win the B final and she took that energy and finished as the runner-up in the A final.

The runner-up finish is the highest she has finished at a meet of this caliber. Pearl, who just finished her first year at the University of Florida, discussed what life and training has been like at Florida, including her transition to college life.

Pearl mentioned that she has learned a lot from this meet and that this meet has shown her what she is doing right.
