USA Paralympian McKenzie Coan writes touching letter to honor Ruth Bader Ginsburg
McKenzie Coan is a 2-time USA Paralypmian who was diagnosed with osteogenesis imperfecta also known as brittle bone disease. As an aspiring law student, one of McKenzie’s lifetime heroes was Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
In a touching letter titled “Dear RBG”, Coan expresses tribute and describes what the late Justice Ginsburg meant to her. Below is an excerpt:

Dear Ruth Bader Ginsburg,

From my being’s depths and through the sorrow currently present in my heart, I thank you. Thank you for your work. Thank you for the inspiration. Thank you for your fight.

Thank you for being my hero.

Thank you for calling our attention to this letter, because I feel the same way as Ms. Coan. I was paid half or less of what my colleagues/coaches were paid, because I was a woman, but I was too late for the Lily Ledbetter Act. Because of Judge Ginsberg’s dissent opinion, the LL Equal Pay for Equal Work Act was signed into law, and so many families have benefited from it. Brava, RBG!
