U.S. International Team Trials: Showdowns Loom in 50 Free, 200 IM (Heat Sheets)

The 2022 U.S. International Team Trials continues on Saturday with the final session of the meet from the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

The last session of the meet will consist of the 200 IM, the 50 freestyle, the women’s 1500 freestyle and the men’s 800 freestyle.

Heat Sheets

The final timed heat of the women’s 1500 at the International Team Trials will feature Katie Ledecky, Katie Grimes, Bella Sims and Sierra Schmidt.

The women’s 200 IM will see Olympian Alex Walsh as the top seed. She will be in Lane 4 flanked by Leah Hayes and Beata Nelson.

In the men’s 200 IM, Olympian Chase Kalisz will have the top seed and be in the final heat with Trenton Julian and Carson Foster on either side of him in the final.

The final timed heat of the men’s 800 at the International Team Trials features Olympic gold medalist Bobby Finke along with Ross Dant and Will Gallant.

In the women’s 50 freestyle, Erika Brown surged to the top seed and will be in Lane 4. The stacked final will consist of Natalie Hinds, Torri Huske, Claire Curzan, Kate Douglass, Abbey Weitzeil, Gretchen Walsh and Gabi Albiero.

The men’s 50 freestyle is just as stacked. Michael Andrew took the top seed by three hundredths of a second over Caeleb Dressel. They will be in the middle of the pool battling it out while Brooks Curry, David Curtiss, Ryan Held, Hunter Armstrong, Danny Krueger and Jack Alexy give chase.

It is the 50 free and anything can happen.
