NEW COMMIT: The University of Texas has added a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2022 from in-state standout Sienna Schellenger of Frisco, Texas.

She will join Meghan DiMartile, Lydia Jacoby, Chase Davison and Lindsey Hosch in Austin as a member of the Longhorns’ Class of 2026.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am SO excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Texas!! Thank you to all of my family, coaches, and friends who have supported me along the way. I can’t wait to be a longhorn, HOOK ‘EM!???”

A talented sprinter, Schellenger does her club swimming with Lakeside Aquatic Club and is a Junior National qualifier. She placed seventh in the 50 free at the 18&U Winter Championships in December and earned 10 best times at College Station Sectionals in February 2020.

In August 2019, Schellenger sprinted to 12th in the 50m free and 14th in the 100m free at Des Moines Futures.

Her best times include:

  • 200 free – 1:51.37

Schellenger will make an immediate impact for the Longhorns at the conference level, as she would’ve scored in the A-final of the 100 free and B-final of the 50 free at the 2021 Big 12 Championships.
