NEW COMMIT: Three-time Summer Juniors qualifier Micah Chambers of Enid, Okla. has verbally committed to the University of Tennessee and will suit up for the Volunteers as a member of the class of 2024.

Chambers does his club swimming with Aquatic Club of Enid and most recently placed 16th in the 50m free at Junior Nationals this past summer after earning silver in the 50m fly at Jenks Sectionals. Last winter, he recorded a best time in the 100 fly at Juniors West before going on to register four top-3 finishes at the Oklahoma SCY Championships.

His best times include:

  • 50 free – 20.21
  • 100 free – 46.14
  • 50 fly – 22.32
  • 100 fly – 49.67

Chambers will be a valuable asset both individually and on relays when he arrives in Knoxville at the start of the 2020-21 season. It took a 19.95/43.82 to score in the 50/100 free at the 2019 SEC Championships, but Chambers has consistently made improvements each season.
